- MAGIC TIE DOWNS? BPS Tie Down Straps have a soft, sturdy molded silicone buckle cover that prevents damage to surfboards and cars. Under the cover is an industrial strength 36mm corrosion-resistant metal buckle, strong & easier to use w/ coldfingers. Matched w/ strong 30mm webbing straps, they come with a bag made from recycled plastics, shipped in a plastic-free Kraft cardboard package. The straps have rounded ends for easier threading into buckles with cold hands. Thats the BPS difference.
- WHY (oh why) DID YOU MAKE THE BUCKLES BRIGHT BLUE? Because we use and test our own products A LOT, we have made the buckles bright blue as this makes it easier to find the END of each strap when they are sitting in a crumpled heap in the back of the car or garage (we wont judge). Sometimes this is not an issue, but when you are freezing after a 3-hour surf and need to put the boards on the roof quickly because its starting to rain bright buckles are good.
