This silicone waterproof boot keeps moisture, dust, and dirt out with an M12x0.75 copper thread and Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N) o-ring.
To install the cap, tear or cut the plastic ring from the cap. Then, unscrew the top hex nut from the toggle switch and remove the nameplate. Only the furthest back hex nut should be on.
Insert the toggle switch through the rear of your panel so that the toggle is now on the user side of the panel. Insert the plastic ring so that it is now resting on top of the panel. Slip the nameplate back on - use the notches in the switch threading to correctly orient the nameplate.
Finally, securely screw on the boot so that it is directly in contact with the nameplate - do not screw back the top most hex nut if you are using a silicone boot cap as it can hamper the effectiveness of the cap's O-ring. Cap Material: Silicone
